Why the US is weighing in on how Australia deals with kangaroos

Every night kangaroos decimate the crops of hard-working Australian farmers, leaving them in a very difficult position.

Now is America wants a say on what we do with our wildlife.

10 News+ speaks to US man Wayne Pacelle, who is trying to introduce the Kangaroo Protection Act, about what it would mean for our country.

If the act is passed by US Congress, it will mean civil and criminal penalties for importing kangaroo products into the US.

Pacelle has already convinced the world’s biggest athletic shoe-makers to stop using kangaroo skin in their products.
