Australia’s coffee culture is famous around the world, with visitors and celebrities alike praising the nation’s cafés, baristas and flat whites.
But despite our reputation as coffee snobs, new research suggests most Australians are still making their daily brew with instant coffee at home.
The survey found 70 per cent of Australians drink coffee every day, with 55 per cent choosing instant coffee over barista-made alternatives.
While a bumper coffee harvest in Brazil could help ease pressure on global coffee prices, experts say consumers shouldn’t expect dramatic price drops anytime soon.
