‘Dangerous’: Evacuation order as fire bellows toxic smoke

An evacuation zone has been enforced as “toxic” sulfur smoke bellows into the air from a fire in Port Adelaide.
A structure fire was burning sulphur and producing large volumes of smoke, said a warning from the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service on Thursday.
One person was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
“Anyone located within 1 km of Moonta Rd, Port Adelaide should leave immediately,” said an alert.
“Do not enter the area – it is extremely dangerous.”
Emergency services were on scene.
