Bonnie Tylerâs final song will be released on November 13.
The Total Eclipse of the Heart hitmaker â whose real name was Gaynor Hopkins â died on July 8 but her last studio recording Love, Light and Peace will be released next week, with her widower Robert Sullivan knowing she would have wanted her fans to hear the festive track.
âItâs been a heartbreaking year, and I miss her every single day,â Sullivan said in a statement.
âGaynor never stopped working. She loved singing, she loved her fans, and she poured her whole heart into these songs.
âThe only time she ever had off was during Covid, and even then she was still on Zoom doing interviews all the time. Between live shows she would stop by David Mackayâs studio to work on all these new songs.
âI know she would want people to hear them, and I am so proud of everything she left behind.â
Love, Light and Peace was written by Chrissie Hammond and Terry Britten, the latter of whom also produced the track with David Mackay.
Tyler died at the age of 75, weeks after she was placed into an induced coma following emergency intestinal surgery in Portugal.
A number of stars paid tribute following her death, including Sir Cliff Richard, who remembered her as a âwonderful friendâ.
Richard, 85, shared a photo of himself and Tyler on Facebook and wrote: âAnother wonderful friend gone too soon. Bonnieâs infectious zest for life entertained so many around the world, and to be a good friend to all, including me.
âIt is shocking news to wake up to you this morning and I send my love to her family at this very sad time. RIP BonnieâŠ. Cliffâ.
Fellow musician Bryan Adams paid tribute to Tyler and her musical talent, in particular her version of Straight From The Heart, a song he also recorded.
He wrote on X: âDear Bonnie Tyler passed today, she had such a great voice and Iâll always be grateful of her beautiful version of Straight From The Heart. Thanks Bonnie. RIPâ.
