Two injured in shooting on busy inner-Sydney road

Two men have been injured, one critically, after a shooting in busy inner-city Sydney.
NSW Police said they were called to a business on Marrickville Road, Marrickville, about 1.50pm on Friday after reports shots had been fired.
Officers from Inner West Police Area Command arrived soon after, finding two men who had suffered gunshot wounds.
“One man – aged 20 – is believed to be in a serious condition, while the other man – aged 33 – is believed to be in a stable condition,” NSW Police said.
Both men were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. NSW Ambulance said one had chest wounds, while the other had injuries to his back.

Witnesses have reported seeing a man run from a hairdressing salon on busy Marrickville Road.
Police said a crime scene had been established, and the area cordoned off. They are also investigating whether two cars set alight in Marrickville and Dulwich Hill on Friday are linked to the shooting.
