Justin Bieber snapchats Aussies to ‘show respect’

When you’re Justin Bieber, one of the biggest pop stars in the world, it’s only natural you’ll have some excitable fans who want to take a selfie with you.
But it seems Bieber, one of Canada’s biggest musical exports (aside from Celine Dion), doesn’t like it when his fans scream – and wants them to understand that it isn’t the best approach to getting a photo.
After arriving to a gaggle of fans in Melbourne this morning, he explained his position, via video.
In a series of snapchat “rants”, he explained that he wanted his fans to be on “the same page” as him when it comes to getting a photo.
“The way that you ask or approach me, when you want a photo, is going to determine if I take a photo or not,” Bieber said in the video showing his trip to the CBD of Melbourne.

“Now if you start screaming louder that’s not going to make me take a photo more.”
He pleaded with fans to respect him.
“Please just respect me and just treat me the way that you want to be treated. That’s all I just want us to be on the same page,” he said.
Bieber finished the video with the somewhat confusing statement: “It’s like why did you travel to see me in the first place? Was it really to see me or was it to get that moment of you seeing me so that you could tell people about it?”
Bieber is in Australia promoting his latest release “What do You Mean?” and is performing live on Monday night in a radio special on Fox FM in Melbourne.
He’ll then head to Sydney for an appearance on TV Show The X-Factor and another radio special.
His yet-to-be-named album is due out on November 13.
