‘Just let us go’: Jacob Elordi snaps back at the paparazzi in Paris

A clash between Jacob Elordi and the paparazzi in Paris has gone viral after the Australian actor pleaded with the photographers to leave him and girlfriend Kendall Jenner in peace.
The high-profile couple have been in the French capital during Paris Fashion Week and were reportedly leaving celebrity hotspot Hotel Costes to return to their car when the encounter occurred.
Widely shared video footage shows them walking along hand-in-hand with an escort of security staff who urged the crowd of paparazzi photographers not to use their flashes.
Jenner shielded her eyes with her hands and Wuthering Heights and Euphoria star Elordi pulled a pair of sunglasses from his pocket and put them on before sternly addressing the snappers.
“Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait,” he said, raising a hand to gesture to the group.
“Do you think we could just walk past?”
As the photographers continued calling out, he again urged them to stop.
“Let me talk to you for a second. You guys got it. Can we just walk home, back to our hotel, please. No flashes… just let us go.”
Elordi then put his arm around Jenner’s waist as they crossed the road and walked on in silence, with the entourage continuing to follow them.
The A-lister duo are said to have been dating since April. In the months since then they have been spotted together everywhere from Japan to Paris and Australia’s Byron Bay, where Brisbane-born Elordi reportedly bought a hinterland retreat around six years ago.
They were also photographed holding hands on a date last month after the London premiere of Elordi’s latest film, Ridley Scott’s post-apocalyptic drama The Dog Stars, although Elordi walked the red carpet with his canine co-star.
While some social media users were impressed by the Oscar nominee’s “protective” attitude towards Jenner during the Paris paparazzi encounter, others suggested his model and socialite girlfriend should be used to the spotlight after starring in reality-TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians and The Kardashians.
“Dude don’t realize he’s dating a Jenner,” commented one on Instagram.
“Why didn’t he give her his glasses if he want to be a gentle man,” asked another.

Earlier in the week, Jenner was lead model on the runway at the L’Oréal Show at Paris Fashion Week, wearing a floor-length “naked” black dress with a thigh-high split.
The show included a string of other celebrity models such as Jane Fonda, Viola Davis, Eva Longoria and Andie MacDowell.
