The curved monitor, which made its debut at this month’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, spans a whopping 86 centimetres.
With a resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 pixels at almost twice the size of traditional monitors, it’s an immersive display allowing for intense gameplay, simultaneous viewing of multiple documents and some pretty epic film screenings.
The monitor will be available in the United States later this month and will retail for US$1,199.99.
The tech company is known for its innovative screen designs, particularly its ultra HD curved television screens, with one model measuring 266 centimetres in width.
Speaking about the range of new products, Samsung’s Visual Display Business Senior Vice President Seok-Gi Kim said there would be more exciting things to come.
“At the 2015 CES, we will demonstrate how Samsung continues to transform and pioneer display innovation and design,” Mr Kim said.
“We aim to help people discover new possibilities through consumer and business-oriented displays that perfectly match each and every usage scenario.”
