Rock band AC/DC have announced they will perform in Australia this year as part of what some speculate may be their last world tour.

The band will reportedly play five stadiums in five major cities between November and December.

Founder Angus Young reportedly fought for cheaper ticket prices because he values the band’s local fans.

“We could charge a lot more if we wanted, but [Angus] wants it to be affordable and he’s very sincere about it,” promoter Garry Van Egmond told Fairfax Media.

“Playing in Australia matters a lot to them,” he said.

The ‘Rock or Bust’ tour will visit Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne.

Former members Malcolm Young, who has dementia, and Phil Rudd, who has been charged with death threats and drug possession, will not take part.

Mr Young will reportedly be replaced by his nephew Stevie Young, and Mr Rudd by former band member Chris Slade.

Tickets will be sold from April 20.
