Ahmed Saad returns to Saints after drug ban
Ahmed Saad is back at St Kilda after serving an 18-month AFL anti-doping suspension.
The Saints waited until the second round of Wednesday’s rookie draft to take Saad with the 19th pick.
Port Adelaide also gave Nathan Krakouer a second AFL life in the draft, three years after he left Gold Coast.
Krakouer started his AFL career at the Power and played for their SANFL side this year.
Former Carlton player Kane Lucas has gone to West Coast and Essendon picked ex-Adelaide forward Shaun McKernan.
Carlton were the only club to make a selection in the pre-season draft that was also held on Wednesday morning, with the Blues snaring Western Bulldogs utility Jason Tutt.
