Nick Kyrgios’ behaviour has drawn the ire of tennis officials and now it seems he’s fallen foul of his old high school as well.

Radford College, where Kyrgios spent years seven and eight before moving to Daramalan College, removed Kyrgios’ photo from their hall of fame board, after the tennis star’s offensive comment to Stan Wawrinka in August.

The ATP fined Kyrgios $25,000 and can ban him for 28 days should he transgress again.

But the indiscretion was deemed so severe that his former school was moved to act as well.

Radford College principal Fiona Godfrey told the Canberra Times that Kyrgios’ was an important role model for children at the school, and that was why his photo had been moved.

“He’s had a temporary departure from the hall,” Godfrey said.

“He’s actually on detention in the director of sport’s office at the moment and we’re keeping him there until his behaviour improves – which we’re very confident will happen given that he was a Radford student.

“But at the moment while he’s not a particularly good role model for the other students, he’s on detention.”
