Former TV presenter Jesse Baird and his partner have gone missing in suspicious circumstances, with blood found at Baird’s home and blood-stained items dumped in a skip bin.

Police are searching for the ex-Channel Ten red carpet reporter, 26, and his Qantas flight attendant boyfriend Luke Davies, 29.

Both disappeared from Sydney’s east on Monday and have not been seen or heard from since.

Police Detective Superintendent Jodi Radmore said it appeared as though an “incident” had happened at the home of Baird, in Paddington.

Blood-stained possessions belonging to both men were also discovered in a skip bin in Cronulla, about 30km away.

“We believe from the crime scene at Paddington and from property that was located at Cronulla that there has been some sort of incident that had has more than likely happened at the Paddington address,” she told media on Thursday afternoon.

Jesse Baird appeared on Studio 10 until it was axed.

Radmore said the discoveries had given police “grave concerns” for one or possibly both men.

A worker found items in the skip bin on Wilbar Avenue in Cronulla about 11am on Wednesday.

Two hours later, Baird’s terrace home at Brown Street, Paddington, was declared a crime scene after officers found blood inside the property.

Davies was unable to be located at his own home in nearby Waterloo. Police believe the flight attendant was in Paddington on Monday.

“He (Davies) has not been seen since, his family have been unable to contact him and he has not been at work,” NSW Police said in a statement on Thursday.

Radmore said witnesses said they heard shouting on Monday earlier in the morning.

“But it wasn’t reported to police at the time … it was only reported to police (on Wednesday),” she said.

Early investigations indicated signs of a struggle with furniture moved around in the home, Radmore said.

Blood found at the property also indicated someone had suffered a significant wound.

A worker had contacted authorities after finding items “that appeared to be unusual” while putting rubbish into a bin at Cronulla, she said.

Police later located a phone, credit cards, a wallet and a set of keys inside the skip.

Two cars have also been seized from the Paddington property.

She appealed to one or both men to come forward, or for friends to get in touch with police if they had any information on their whereabouts.

“Anyone that has seen any of these people or Jesse and Luke, if you are seeing this, please contact Waverley police station or Crime Stoppers,” she said.

Radmore said the disappearance was being treated as a “suspicious missing person”.

Police were not ruling out any lines of inquiry ranging from murder to suicide.

Baird was a producer/presenter for Studio 10 until it was axed by the network. He had previously worked as a producer/presenter with Ten’s Totally Wild! show for four years.

Davies is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 170cm-175cm tall with a medium build, brown hair and brown eyes.

It is not known what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance.

Photos from both men’s social media accounts show them together at a Pink concert in Sydney during the previous week.

One snap of the pair taken at the lighthouse at Palm Beach earlier in February reads: “Perfect start to a long weekend”.
