Lego heist blocked by police raid on home

Police have charged a man and a woman after raiding a Sydney home in the early hours of the morning and seizing nearly 50 boxes of Lego.

Retail stores at a Botany Bay shopping centre alerted police to alleged shoplifting on Saturday afternoon at a shopping centre where Lego products were targeted.

The complaint prompted police to execute a search warrant at a Vineyard home in Sydney’s west about 2am on Sunday.

Officers allegedly seized several items including 47 Lego boxes.

A 28-year-old woman was charged with four counts of larceny and driver not disclose identity of driver/passenger.

A 48-year-old man has been charged with four counts of larceny.

The pair were granted conditional bail and are both due to face Downing Centre Local Court on February 22.

Inquiries are continuing.
