Forensic specialists are expected to examine a Byron Bay building which has burned down and has links with the Nomads bikie club. 

They are expected to conduct a thorough examination once it is declared safe to enter the burned premises.

Emergency services were called to Brigantine Street at about 3.35am (AEDT) where the building, which police say they believe is linked to the Nomads outlaw motorcycle club, was found to be well alight.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

Based on the southern end of Queensland’s Gold Coast, the Nomads also have a presence over the border in Byron Bay.
