Tennis legend Ash Barty has shared a sweet family update to announce the birth of her second child.

Barty, 29, posted a picture of newborn daughter Jordan to Instagram on Monday.

“Welcome to the world, Jordan,” she captioned the black-and-white shot of the newborn.

“You are loved unconditionally and we are so grateful to have you in our arms, gorgeous girl.”

The post sparked a wave of good wishes for the three-time tennis grand slam winner and her golf pro husband Garry Kissick.

“Congrats Ash and Garry. How exciting to welcome Jordan into your family. She’s a lucky girl,” wrote another former Australian tennis star, Sam Stosur.

Swimmer-turned-commentator Gian Rooney offered her congratulations, as did another former tennis star, Casey Dellacqua.

“Here she is. Hi gorgeous Jordan. Can’t wait to cuddle you soon. Good job Mum and Dad xx,” Dellacqua wrote.

Jordan is a baby sister for Kissick and Barty’s firstborn, son Hayden. He will be two next month.

The couple roped toddler Hayden in to publicly break the news of Barty’s second pregnancy back in December. On Christmas Day, Barty shared a festive message with a photo of her son wearing a T-shirt saying “I am going to be a big brother”.

Queenslander Barty revealed her shock retirement from professional tennis in March 2022, only two months after winning the Australian Open. She also won two other grand slams – the French Open in 2019 and Wimbledon in 2021.

She and Kissick wed in a private ceremony in her home state in July 2022.

Since her retirement, Barty has kept busy publishing a series of children’s books, releasing her autobiography My Dream Time, starting a foundation and mentoring emerging young tennis star Olivia Gadecki.
