Former Bachelor star Sam Wood, 46, has been dumped by the fitness business that bears his name as he prepares to fight domestic violence charges.
DBG Health, the parent company of 28 by Sam Wood, on Tuesday evening confirmed it had “ended its commercial arrangements with Sam Wood, effective immediately”.
“Yesterday (Monday) DBG Health announced Mr Wood had been placed on indefinite leave,” the statement said.
“As a result of further considerations, DBG Health has now terminated all arrangements.”
DBG Health said the company would continue to operate under the leadership of Mark Watkin, alongside a “broader group of experienced and respected health and wellness experts including trainers and employees”.
“DBG Health does not tolerate domestic violence in any forms, and our thoughts are with people impacted by it.
“As the matter is before the court, DBG Health will make no further comment.”

Since news broke of Wood’s alleged domestic violence incident during a holiday in Noosa, high-profile influencers have distanced themselves from the fitness guru and spoken out against domestic violence.
Former Home and Away actor Tammin Sursok paused her partnership with 28 by Sam Wood and removed related promotional material from her social media.
“I want to be clear that I have zero tolerance for domestic and family violence,” Sursok, 43, wrote on Instagram.
“It’s an issue I care deeply about, and one that I will always stand firmly against.
“My thoughts are with anyone impacted by domestic and family violence.”

Ready-to-eat meal brand Foxes Den ended its partnership with 28 by Sam Wood.
“We’re aware of the serious charges that have been reported, and while this matter is before the courts, we’ve made the decision to step away from this partnership,” the brand posted to social media.
“We stand firmly against domestic and family violence in all its forms.
“Our thoughts are with the family and anyone affected by domestic violence.”
Entrepreneur and Married at First Sight star Jules Robinson also ended her partnership with 28 by Sam Wood.
“Women are my absolute priority,” she said.
“My commitment to supporting, empowering and standing with women will always come first.”
Wood remains behind bars after being charged with domestic violence offences, including strangulation.
The Melbourne-based fitness influencer was arrested at a Noosa property on Saturday night.
He was charged on Sunday with the domestic violence offence of assault occasioning bodily harm and strangulation in a domestic setting.
His lawyer, Matthew Cuskelly, confirmed Wood would apply for bail after the matter appeared in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday.
“He’s simply worried about his family. A bail application will be heard on Thursday,” he told AAP.
“The charges will be defended.”

A Wood family statement was posted on social media on Monday addressing the charges.
It was shared with Wood’s 253,000 Instagram followers, saying the family was “working through this”.
“This is a difficult time for all of us,” the statement said.
“We are working through this as a family and are thoroughly co-operating with the authorities.”
His wife, Snezana — who he met on The Bachelor — also shared the statement on social media, marking her first comment since the arrest.
Wood earned a national profile as a star of The Bachelor‘s third season in 2015, going on to launch a successful home fitness business, “28 By Sam Wood”.
He reportedly sold it in 2022 for $71.2 million but remained the face of the online platform.
Queensland Police on Monday confirmed Wood was charged after officers received reports of alleged domestic violence and attended a Hastings Street address about 9pm on Saturday.
Wood did not appear in court when his matter was heard on Monday.
It was adjourned until Thursday for the bail application.
