Former Bachelor star Sam Wood has reportedly spent the weekend behind bars in Queensland after being charged with domestic violence, including alleged strangulation.
The celebrity fitness guru, who was the bachelor on season three in 2015, was arrested after the alleged incident at a property in Noosa on the weekend.
“Officers attended a Hastings Street, Noosa address around 9pm Saturday after receiving reports of alleged domestic violence,” a police spokesperson told the Courier Mail.
“Police have charged a 46-year-old Victorian man with domestic violence offences early this morning, 4 October.
“The man has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm (domestic violence) and strangulation in a domestic setting.”
It was not clear who the charges related to.
Wood was refused police bail and is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday.

Wood met his wife, Snezana Markoski, on The Bachelor and the couple has four children — three biological daughters and Snezana’s daughter from a previous relationship.
Wood and Markoski were married in 2018 in Byron Bay.
The Melbourne-based fitness guru used his Bachelor fame to launch his online fitness empire, 28 by Sam Wood, which he sold in 2022 for $71 million.
He makes regular TV appearances and undertakes speaking engagements as a leading fitness expert.
