Chaotic weather has wreaked havoc in parts of Victoria and New South Wales as damaging winds tore roofs from homes in both states.
After a wild weekend, flood warnings in NSW and severe weather warnings in Victoria were cancelled on Monday morning.
On Sunday in Strathmerton, a town in northern Victoria, heavy gusts caused destruction on one suburban street, toppling trees and throwing the roofs off at least two houses.

“Absolutely wild. Houses completely torn to shreds,” local Instagram user Austkathy wrote.
And according to the Strathmerton Standard and Victorian Storm Chasers, it may have been a “mini tornado” that did the damage.
