Woman ‘stabbed to death’

A man is under police guard in a western Sydney hospital after a woman’s body was found in a Mount Druitt home overnight.
Emergency services were called to a home on Chester Street shortly after midnight, on Tuesday, where they found the body of a woman.
Police said the woman, aged in her 30s, was heavily pregnant and had multiple stab wounds, AAP reported.

A crime scene was established and the woman’s death is being treated as suspicious.
The woman’s 38-year-old partner was arrested at Mount Druitt Police Station a short time later.
He was taken to Nepean Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
He is currently under police guard and is assisting officers with their inquiries.
It is understood the woman’s teenage son left the house when the couple began arguing on Monday night and that he found his mother’s body when he returned home.
