Family Feud sexism furore sparks angry backlash
Domestic duties, cooking, cleaning and washing clothes. These were the answers provided when audience members were asked to “name a woman’s job” on Channel Ten’s game show Family Feud on Wednesday night.
Social media went into overdrive after contestants were asked to name the top eight most popular reposes to survey questions posed to 100 Australians.

The most popular answers in order of popularity were: cooking, cleaning, nursing, hairdressing, domestic duties, dishes, receptionist and washing clothes.
Contestants were also asked to name a man’s job, with top responses including builder, carpenter, tradesman and mechanic.
Viewers responded angrily to the question on Twitter, saying the question highlighted the prevalence of sexism in Australian society.
One person said they would have named a woman’s job as US Secretary of State or Chancellor of Germany.
On Tuesday, Channel Ten apologised for both questions.
I am so god damn angry right now. This goes to show that sexism is still rife in our society. http://t.co/dEm4K8x9O6 via @theage
