Music fans are speculating a Kylie Minogue–Madonna collaboration is on the offing after the pair sang a surprise duet at WorldPride in Amsterdam.

Madonna released her 15th studio album, Confessions II, last month and has been launching it at Club Confession events around the world.

After doing so in Los Angeles, London, New York City and Paris, she confirmed she’d be doing the same in Amsterdam, with the city also hosting WorldPride.

However, during her set early on Sunday morning, she was joined for part of it by Minogue.

The pair performed Love Sensation, a track from Confessions II, together, with Minogue later posting a behind-the-scenes look at her surprise appearance on Instagram.

The clip showed Minogue dancing backstage before joining Madonna to dance and sing with her, while the crowd was showered with confetti.

“Thank you everyone at Club Confessions World Pride Amsterdam,” she captioned the post.

The pair previously performed together during Madonna’s Celebration tour at a show in Los Angeles in 2024.

During that performance, the pair performed  the Gloria Gaynor classic I Will Survive and and Minogue’s 2001 hit Can’t Get You Out of My Head.

Now fans are convinced a remix of Love Sensation with Minogue and Madonna is in the works.

The music stars have professed their mutual appreciation for many years, with Minogue revealing she and sister Dannii shared grew up constantly playing Madonna’s self-titled 1983 debut album.

In an interview with Graham Norton earlier this year, Madonna also confessed while she has long been a fan of the Australian, she felt a “little bit” jealous of Minogue’s enduring success and because she was “so cute”.

“I think my ex-husband at the time [Guy Ritchie] had a crush on her, and I was like, ‘I’ll never be as beautiful as Kylie’.

Madonna famously wore a t-shirt with Kylie Minogue’s name on it at the 2000 MTV Europe Music Awards.

Minogue later returned the favour by wearing a rhinestone-adorned “Madonna” t-shirt during a stage appearance.

Earlier in the week, Madonna had teased her appearance, sharing a post online in Dutch which read, “IK HEB IETS WAAR IK OVER WIL PRATEN”, which translated into English is: “I’ve got something I wanna talk about.”

Following Confessions II‘s release, it topped charts around the world, including in the United Kingdom, United States and Australia.
