Long-running TV satire South Park has taken a dig at US President Donald Trump after picking up yet another Emmy.

The irreverent show won outstanding animated program at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Sunday (US time), and the official South Park social media accounts could not resist teasing Trump, who was heavily mocked throughout its latest season.

The official account shared an image of the show’s fictionalised version of Trump – surrounded by South Park characters, including Satan, with his pants and underwear down. The cartoon Trump is celebrating with the trophy, alongside the words: “You finally got your Emmy”.

In the caption, the social media team gave a nod to South Park‘s creators.

“Congratulations to Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and the entire South Park team on their Emmy win for outstanding animated program!”, they wrote.

The award marked the animated show’s first Emmy since 2013, when it won the same category.

On Sunday, South Park was recognised for its July 2025 episode “Sermon on The Mount”, which mocked Trump and his supporters.
The premiere showed a fictionalised version of Trump in bed with Satan, and ended with a deepfake of Trump walking naked through the desert.

It also sparked fury at the White House, which clapped back with a statement that “the show has been irrelevant for 20 years, relying on uninspired ideas for attention”.

This year’s Emmy marked South Park‘s fifth series win. It was also recognised as the outstanding animated program (for programming less than one hour) in 2005, 2007 and 2009.

Trump, 80, is yet to win an Emmy, despite being a serial contender. In 2004 and 2005, The Apprentice – for which he was executive producer – was nominated as outstanding reality-competition program, but missed out both times.

“The Emmys are all politics, that’s why, despite nominations, The Apprentice never won – even though it should have many times over,” Trump wrote on X back in 2012.

During a 2015 episode of The Apprentice, the then-businessman also claimed he had been “screwed out of an Emmy”.

“Everybody thought I was going to win it,” he said at the time. “In fact, when they announced the winner, I stood up before the winner was announced.

“I started walking for the Emmy. And then they announced the most boring show on television, The Amazing Race. Piece of crap.”
