Tasmanian commoner Mary Donaldson famously met Prince Frederik in a Sydney pub during the 2000 Sydney Olympics and married him in a fairytale wedding to became Mary, Crown Princess Mary of Denmark.
Princess Mary earlier this year reminded us that, despite her title, she maintains a sense of humour.
While some would be red-faced, she laughed when a man farted while she was giving a speech at a library in Odense.
Princess Mary said in Danish: “It’s like what happens at home for me when I try to tell someone something!”
Muffled laughter continued throughout the gathering before she composed herself and moved on.
