Having a super-star soccer-playing dad, there was always a chance Harper Seven Beckham was going to love the sport.

But it seems following in her dad David Beckham’s footsteps isn’t exactly the path Victoria Beckham had planned for her only daughter.

The former Spice Girl joked on Monday’s episode of Good Morning America that she was shattered by her daughter’s desire to be a footballer.

“She loves fashion, you know, as all little girls do… but she loves sports,” Beckham said.

“She said to me the other day ‘Mummy, I think I want to play football [soccer]’ … dagger through the heart!

“I have three boys that want to play football, you know, come on, let one of them want to be into fashion or dance,” she said.

The Beckhams were in New York for Fashion Week where Victoria’s latest collection was unveiled.
