Gwyneth Paltrow to live on $29 for one week
Actress Gwyneth Paltrow, today best known for her aspirational lifestyle blog Goop, will attempt to survive on $29 for a week in the name of charity.
The challenge will see Paltrow, 42, live on the $29-per-week food budget of millions of low-income American families who receive food stamps.

The FoodBankNYCChallenge was created by hunger-relief organisation Food Bank, and challenges people to spend only $1.38 on each meal.
Paltrow’s current gluten-free and low-carb diet, which she has spruiked in her various cookbooks, is reported to cost up to $300 a day.
Celebrity chef and Food Bank NYC advocate Mario Batali challenged Paltrow, as well as singers Sting and Deborah Harry, to do the challenge.

The fitness fanatic shared her budget grocery shop with her 2 million Twitter followers, which included frozen peas, eggs, limes, brown rice and tortillas.
The haul looks surprisingly small for a week’s worth of food, but according to the rules of the challenge, Paltrow won’t be able to use food she already has or rely on food from others.
The FoodBankNYCChallenge aims to raise hunger awareness and challenges the US government to strengthen its food stamp program.
The actress is frequently slammed for her controversial views on lifestyle which she shares on Goop, and has been criticised for saying her life as an actress is harder than that of regular working mums.
