Joni Mitchell ‘awake and in good spirits’
Musician Joni Mitchell is reportedly ‘awake and in good spirits’ after being rushed to intensive care in Los Angeles.
The singer’s official spokesperson tweeted the news following reports that she had been taken to hospital after an emergency call for an ambulance at her LA home.
Joni is currently in intensive care in an LA area hospital but is awake and in good spirits. More updates to come as we hear them.

Mitchell, 71, is in intensive care according to unnamed sources after paramedics were called regarding an unconscious female at 2.30pm Los Angeles time.

“It’s unclear what prompted the medical emergency, but it appears to be quite serious,” entertainment site TMZ reported.
“We’re told the 911 call was for an unconscious female, but she was alert on the way to the hospital.”
Born Roberta Joan Anderson in Alberta, Canada in 1943, Mitchell became the archetypal ’70s female singer-songwriter who was praised by critics.
Mitchell suffered polio as a child.
