Aussie cities named the world’s ‘most friendly’
Melbourne has tied with Auckland in a Conde Nast Traveler survey of the world’s friendliest – and unfriendliest – cities. Sydney was close behind in fifth place, tying with Dublin.
‘Capital of cool’ Melbourne shared the top spot for being one of ‘the classiest cities in the world’, full of great nightlife, food, and public spaces.

Beautiful Sydney.
The high-end travel magazine said Sydney was ‘the most beautiful large city in the world’ full of helpful locals who ‘love Americans’.
Victoria in Canada and Charleston in North Carolina also fared well, while the world’s least friendly cities included Johannesburg, Cannes and Moscow, with three French cities on the list.
