At the Big Red Bash in Birdsville, some 5800 people set a record and paid tribute to the late Tina Turner.
They did Nutbush in the desert, just weeks after Turner died and set a record for the festival, which is in its 10th year.
Scottish Jewels for King
King Charles received the Scottish Crown Jewels this week at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh.
Expert in coronations, George Gross of King’s College, London, told Associated Press it wasn’t another coronation but a symbol “that Scotland has its own identity”.
Tennis upstaged
Just Stop Oil protesters took to Court 18 at Wimbledon, throwing confetti, jigsaw pieces and Australian Daria Saville off her game.
Saville was leading 4-2 in a first-set tiebreak on Wednesday when an elderly Just Stop Oil protester burst on to court as the players were going to the changeover.

Rollercoaster nightmare
Eight people were left hanging upside down for hours after a mechanical failure on a rollercoaster at a fair in Wisconsin in the United States.
The last passenger was taken down from the ride some three hours after it got stuck and one person was taken to hospital following the incident on Sunday.

Adele warns crowd
After recent incidents where fans threw things on stage while musicians were performing, Adele told the crowd at her Las Vegas residency they better not try anything.
She called out some concertgoers for the unthinkable behaviour and jokingly made a threat she would fire back if needed, while she held a T-shirt gun.
