Idris stars as Panthers maul Titans

Jamal Idris scored three tries as Penrith heaped more pressure on the embattled Titans with a 40-0 drubbing in Bathurst.

Like most of his team, the hulking centre was untroubled by the Titans as he ran in the opener in the 21st minute before his centre partner, Dean Whare, crossed in the 28th, allowing Penrith to take a slim 8-0 lead to the break.

But the deficit was not slim for long with Idris adding two more four-pointers in a five-minute period early in the second half.

Whare picked up his second around the one-hour mark and George Jennings, the younger brother of former Panther Michael, touched down for his second try in two games five minutes later.

Sika Manu and Bryce Cartwright then touched down late to heap more pain on the already struggling Titans.
