Drink driving charge: Titan stood down
Gold Coast forward Paul Carter has been stood down by the Titans NRL club after being charged with high-range drink-driving.
Carter, 22, was reportedly caught driving with a blood-alcohol level almost four times the legal limit on the tourist strip early on Thursday morning.
The P-plater had also reportedly driven the wrong way down busy Orchid Avenue before being arrested.
“The NRL’s Integrity Unit has been advised of the offence and the club will continue to work closely with the NRL as the matter is further investigated,” a Titans statement said.
“No other comment will be provided at this stage.”
