Farah in major doubt for Origin opener
Robbie Farah is almost certain to miss the State of Origin opener on May 28 after the Wests Tigers revealed their skipper will spend up to six weeks on the sidelines with an elbow injury.
The NSW hooker and vice-captain dislocated the joint two minutes from the end of the Tigers’ 16-4 win over North Queensland on Saturday and will spend a minimum of six weeks on the sidelines.
Farah has become a key part of the Blues side over the last two years and his absence would be a huge blow to Laurie Daley’s hopes of ending a run of eight successive series losses.
Farah underwent scans on Saturday night that revealed no fracture to the arm after the elbow had been relocated by the Tigers medical staff.
