The sharp reactions of an American baseball fan have attracted global attention after he caught a flying bat in the crowd one-handed.

Making this man’s effort more impressive was the fact that he did not spill a drop of the drink he was holding in one hand.

And his catch saved a woman, sitting next to him and presumably his wife – who kissed him during the post-catch celebrations – from getting hit.

The stunning catch happened in a professional American Association of Independent Professional Baseball match between the St. Paul Saints and the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks.

The competition is not affiliated with the MLB – the major baseball league of the United States – but this fan showed the quick thinking and incredible catching skills that belong in the big leagues.
