Hackett grabs bronze in swimming return
Three-time Olympic gold medallist Grant Hackett has completed a stunning return to competitive swimming, claiming a bronze medal in the 400m men’s final at the national swimming championships in Sydney.
Hackett had already impressed in qualifying fourth fastest for the final, taking five seconds off his best time since returning six months ago after a six-year break.
But the best was yet to come, with Hackett touching in at 3:46.53 to claim third place, behind winner Mack Morton (3:42.84).
David McKeon took silver with 3:44.28.
