Sochi snow-it-all: Day five
The best Olympic wipe outs
They put their body and mind on the line for gold medal glory…and our entertainment. As the saying goes, there’s no gain without pain and the Sochi Olympians have had their fair share. If they’re not seriously injured, it’s alright to occasionally celebrate, appreciate and giggle at the spectacular tumbles of the Winter Olympics. Below, we share our favourite falls so far. Oh, and you might want to listen to THIS to improve your reading experience.

Separated by a hair
Is it just us or do Australian snowboarders Scotty James and Kent Callister look confusingly similar? It’s not so much to do with their faces – although both share a youthful, cherubic look – as it is to do with their luscious locks. Clearly, Callister and James have decided that snowboarding down a mountain looks even more impressive when you have a mane of shoulder length hair flowing behind you. We think the look is working for both of them.
Fashion icons
We should probably address the fact that the Norwegian men’s curling team have the best outfits ever. They are one big colourful parade of Scottish traditional garb, golfer gear, preppy plaid and matching suits. We tip our red, white and blue-striped pageboy cap to them.
