Namibia’s flag bearer, boxer Jonas Junius, has been arrested for the attempted sexual attack of a housekeeper in the Olympic Village.
Police say the 22 year old light welterweight tried to force himself on the cleaner.
The arrest has been confirmed by the Namibian National Olympic Committee, according to The Namibian newspaper.

A statement on the Recreio Police website said Junius tried to kiss and grab the maid, who managed to extricate herself. The incident happened on an 11th floor corridor.
Junius is the second boxer to be arrested on allegations of sexual assault at the Rio Olympics, after the detention of Morocco’s Hassan Saada on Friday.
Saada is alleged to have assaulted two housekeepers in the Village and is in jail pending an investigation.
