With her back to the net, 25-year-old Peamount United player Stephanie Roche pulled off a stunning goal in three touches, without the ball ever touching the ground.

Three World Cup goals feature in the final 10, including Australian striker Tim Cahill’s goal against the Netherlands this year.
Speaking to an Irish women’s website, Roche said the nomination was great for women’s soccer, and that it was a honour to be named with such great players.
