Yeboah set to sign for Monchengladbach

Emerging Brisbane Roar striker Kwame Yeboah is set to sign for German Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach, subject to a medical.

Yeboah will make the move when the transfer window opens on the first of January, and will go with the Roar’s blessing.

“As a club, we will not stand in the way of opportunities like this for our young players,” Brisbane’s football director Ken Stead said.

“This new environment will allow Kwame to continually improve his game and further his youth and senior national team ambitions in the future.”

Having starred in Brisbane’s pre-season campaign, Yeboah has enjoyed a meteoric rise this season, making 10 first team appearances and scoring two goals.

Yeboah will miss Friday night’s match against against Newcastle, but will be available for the Boxing Day tie against Sydney FC.
