#PutOutYourBats: cricket fans pay tribute to Hughes
Cricket fans around the world have paid a moving tribute to late cricketer Phillip Hughes, placing their cricket bats outside their front door as a mark of respect.
The 25-year-old Australian all-rounder died yesterday after a bouncer to the head left him in an induced coma with severe brain injuries.

Sydney man Paul Taylor started the hashtag #PutOutYourBats and the idea has since spread around the world, with tributes coming from places like New York, Jakarta and London.
The close-knit cricket community is reeling from the freak accident, describing Hughes’ death as a tragedy.
