Half of Metallica has delivered a stirring rendition of the American national anthem prior to game five of the NBA Finals series in Oakland.

The Bay-Area natives wowed the crowd with a power-chord laden version of the Star Spangled Banner before the clash between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Kirk Hammett, armed with a custom made ESP and wah-wah pedal took the lead, while Metallica singer and rhythm guitarist James Hetfield backed him up.
