Curry powers Warriors to 3-2 lead

The Golden State Warriors have taken a 3-2 lead in their best-of-seven NBA Finals series with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Curry was outstanding for the Warriors, scoring 37 points with seven rebounds in the 104-91 win, with Game 6 set for Wednesday morning (AEST) in Cleveland.

But Cavs superstar LeBron James’ effort for the vanquished side was even more impressive.

James scored 40 points, dragged down 14 rebounds and logged up 11 assists.

The Cavaliers’ Australian point guard Matthew Dellavedova (five points) again sparked controversy, hooking Warriors’ forward Draymond Green’s arm before they crashed to the floor.

Golden State’s Australian centre Andrew Bogut was left on the bench throughout as his team stuck with a small line-up.
