Patty Mills leads Spurs to NBA victory

Australian NBA star Patty Mills posted 20 points to help San Antonio to a 110-82 victory over Milwaukee on Sunday night.

The Spurs guard, who produced a dismal shooting display just two days earlier, went 8-for-12 overall – nailing four three-pointers to help hand the Bucks their ninth straight loss.

Mills was one of seven players to hit double figures for the Spurs, with Marco Belinelli adding 14 points, Tim Duncan 11 and Jeff Ayres and Nando De Colo collecting 13 apiece.

The win has kept San Antonio, who were without starters Tony Parker (bruised shin) and Tiago Splitter, as well as Danny Green and three-point specialist Matt Bonner, atop the Western Conference.

Meanwhile Orlando Magic snapped a season-high 10-game losing streak with a 93-91 win over the Boston Celtics.

After several ties in the fourth quarter, Tobias Harris hit a pair of free throws with 10.1 seconds remaining to give Orlando the victory.

At Phoenix, Channing Frye scored a season-high 30 points before sitting out the final nine minutes to watch the Suns wrap up their 117-103 romp over the Denver Nuggets.

Frye, who missed all of last season for treatment of an enlarged heart, made 12 of 16 shots, including five three-pointers, to fall three points shy of his career high.

Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant scored 30 points to lead the Thunder past the Sacramento Kings 108-93, following his career-high 54 points Friday against Golden State.

The Los Angeles Lakers downed the Toronto Raptors 112-106 for just its third win in 15 games after Nick Young returned from suspension to score 29 points, with Pau Gasol adding 22.
