Nat Fyfe still eligible to win Brownlow Medal

Fremantle’s Nat Fyfe has been let off with a $1500 fine for his heavy hit on Hawthorn’s Taylor Duryea, while Sam Mitchell can accept a $1000 bill for a knee to the star Docker.

Fyfe, the raging Brownlow Medal favourite, collected Duryea high in a marking contest during his side’s heavy loss in Launceston on Sunday.

Geelong captain Joel Selwood was slapped with a one-match ban for his chicken-wing tackle on North Melbourne’s Sam Wright.

If Selwood chooses to contest the sanction, he risks a two-week suspension.

Among other sanctions to be handed out by the Match Review Panel on Monday were two games to Collingwood’s Taylor Adams for his knee to Justin Westhoff.

Richmond’s Tyrone Vickery also received a two-game ban for rough conduct on Michael Jamison.
