Midfielder Taylor Hunt joins Richmond

Geelong midfielder Taylor Hunt has joined AFL club Richmond as a delisted free agent.

The Tigers confirmed on Sunday they signed Hunt on a one-year deal after he was shown the door at Simonds Stadium.

AFL fixture 2015: every match, every round

Hunt was taken by the Cats with pick No.49 in the 2008 draft and played 63 games with Geelong.

The 23-year-old suffered a groin injury and managed only seven matches in 2014, playing no part in the Cats’ campaign after round nine.

“We have been clear in our intention to add to our midfield during the off-season, and we believe Taylor will be a strong addition,” said Richmond football manager Dan Richardson.

“We are confident he has his best football ahead of him.”
