Collingwood’s Heritier Lumumba is seeking a trade to Melbourne.
Lumumba has informed the Magpies he wants to join the Demons, with the two clubs now keen to work out a suitable trade.

“He’s had a lot of interest (from other clubs) … we’re really pleased he’s chosen us as his preferred club,” football manager Josh Mahoney told AFL Trade Radio.
“There’s a lot of work to be done (in trade period ).”
Mahoney confirmed Mitch Clark, who retired in April due to depression, wanted to restart his career at a rival side.
“Based on medical advice, he should be going to another club,” Mahoney said.
Mahoney added that the Demons were keen to strike a deal with Clark’s club of choice, once the ruck-forward makes that decision.
He said a direct swap of Lumumba for Clark was a possibility.
Mahoney suggested Melbourne would actively pursue Adelaide’s Patrick Dangerfield, but Crows list manager David Noble dismissed the idea his club would entertain a Dangerfield deal.
“No,” Noble said of Dangerfield, who remains out of contract beyond 2015.
“The superstars are just too hard to get.
“We’re really comfortable where he is and the indication he’s given us is that he’s very settled and wants to stay.”
