Mitch Robinson accepts one-match AFL ban

Carlton utility Mitch Robinson will miss the Blues’ next AFL game against Adelaide after accepting a one-match striking ban.

Robinson, 24, punched St Kilda youngster Jack Newnes in the head during Monday’s match at Etihad Stadium.

The incident was deemed by the match review panel to be reckless conduct and medium impact, with Robinson submitting an early guilty plea.

Carlton have the bye this weekend, meaning Robinson will serve his suspension for the May 25 clash with the Crows at the MCG.
