Wallaby tactics exposed in RWC spying bombshell

The All Blacks’ apparent weaknesses may have been publicly exposed by Australia a day out from the Rugby World Cup final.

British newspaper the Guardian has produced photographs of notes carried by Wallabies coach Michael Cheika and assistant Mario Ledesma which appear to outline where they will attack New Zealand in the final at Twickenham on Saturday (Sunday AEDT).

The pair were pictured holding the papers at Australia’s final training at Twickenham on Friday.

Australian players are seemingly to be told to “expose” the All Blacks wing duo of Nehe Milner-Skudder and Julian Savea under the high ball and to “rattle” No.8 Kieran Read at re-starts.

Neither the Wallaby nor All Black managements commented on the photographs taken after training at Twickenham on Friday.

The notes also tell Australia to counter the All Blacks’ kicking game with the words “own the air space, catch everything, chase everything, escort wingers”.

Neither team were available to comment on the notes.

The All Blacks are familiar with the more intrusive nature of the English press.

Two years ago a journalist accessed their hotel team room in London and reported on some of their motivational messages.

One of the messages read: “We are the most dominant team in the history of the world.”
