Young woman kicks goal of the year contender

Lael Kassem has kicked a superb goal for NSW/ACT in the inaugural open level game against Queensland.
Kassem grabbed the ball on the run from outside the 50m line, pushed off three defenders and made her way all the way into the goal square before slotting it through the posts.

Originally from Lebanon, the Auburn Giants player grew up around nine brothers playing AFL after her family migrated to Australia in the 1970s.
Unfortunately for Kassem, Queensland won the game 8.12.60 to 2.10.22.
