Bogut passes Longley record in NBA loss

Andrew Bogut’s record-breaking 568th NBA game didn’t go to plan as his Golden State Warriors were outclassed by the San Antonio Spurs.

Bogut was tied with Luc Longley for the most NBA games played by an Australian before surpassing the former Chicago Bulls centre at the AT&T Center in San Antonio on Sunday night.

Kawhi Leonard bagged 26 points as the Spurs rolled past Western Conference leaders Golden State 107-92, ending the Warriors’ 12-game winning streak while extending their own to seven straight.

San Antonio also extended their home winning streak over Golden State to 32 straight.

San Antonio’s Australian pair didn’t see much court time, Patty Mills contributing two points and Aron Baynes eight points and five rebounds.

Tim Duncan had 19 points and Danny Green added 18 points for San Antonio, who led by as many as 28 points.

Stephen Curry had 24 points, but was harassed into 9-for-17 shooting by Leonard. Klay Thompson was held to six points on 3-for-11 shooting for Golden State.
