New video has emerged allegedly showing Roger Federer’s wife Mirka calling Stanislas Wawrinka a “crybaby” during the ATP Tour Finals in London.
Wawrinka, who won last year’s Australian Open, can be seen telling the umpire the heckling is ‘unbearable’.
• What started a fight between Federer and Wawrinka?
• Roger Federer’s personal apology to tennis fans
If true, the video confirms allegations that Federer and Wawrinka were arguing after the match, which Federer won on a third-set tie-break.
“She did the same at Wimbledon,” the grand slam player can be heard saying to umpire Cedric Mourier.
“Every time I’m on his side, she screams before I serve”.
“It is unbearable”.
Before Federer is about to serve, Wawrinka turns around and says to someone off camera “not just before the service”.
A woman can then be heard saying “crybaby” from the stands before Wawrinka retaliates with “what did you say?”.
Mourier tries to calm Wawrinka while the crowd starts loudly booing.
Heckling players between serves is in breach of tennis etiquette.
