Why you shouldn’t buy your Mum another candle

It might be time to get a bit creative with your Mother’s Day presents.

Sure, that candle or soap you give Mum every year might smell great, and that home-cooked breakfast might go down a treat – but how about something a bit more grown-up (and in-tune with her needs)?

Mother’s Day is a busy time at Vinomofo – the rebel Australian online wine retailer that just secured another $25 million of funding.

Senior Buyer John Clark says Champagne and rosé are popular with Mums all year round – but particularly at times of celebration, like next Sunday.

In fact, Vinomofo’s ‘Rosé Lineup’ (a mixed pack of six rosés from all around Australia, South of France and Spain) is so popular it’s currently sold out.

But they’ve squirrelled away three boxes for the Mums – and they’re giving you the chance to win one, just in time for delivery straight to your (or her) door.

In the meantime, Clark has given us his top four picks for Mums this Mother’s Day, and they include some great deals on European drops.

“Thanks to the opposite seasons, we’re able to buy a lot of what’s not so popular in European winter, and give Australians a great deal on it,” says Clark.

A perfect example of this is the Chateau La Clapiere rosé, straight from Provence, which Vinomofo customers get for $19.90 per bottle, rather than $40.

For those not wanting to take home six bottles of the same wine, Clark recommends one of Vinomofo’s famed “mixed cases”.

Alternatively, sharing a pack with friends or around the office is another way to nab great value (and a few great bottles, too).
